- How flexible are you? Are you available for extra shifts if needed?
- Do you smoke? (Many people say they don't smoke so use your senses. Smell, do you smell stale cigarette smoke, sight, are the teeth and nails yellowed)?
- What caregiving certification training do you have? Are you CPR or first aid certified? Through what entity? (Red Cross, American Heart Association…ask to see their card)
- Is there anything in the job description you are not comfortable with or will not be able to perform? Please explain. Are you comfortable with pets? (If applicable)
- Why do you do this kind of work? Tell me about your work experience. Have you ever cared for someone with (fill in conditions/needs) before? Please tell me more.
- If you are hired are you willing to sign a contract out lining the agreements?
- Will you be comfortable driving my (fill in person) car if need be, or using your own car to run errands?
- What are your expectations for time off? Are you willing or able to help find coverage for the times that you need to take off?
